CWE Hurricane Charley Relief
Even though CWE does not perform any construction in the continental USA because of liability insurance restrictions, the Board of Directors did feel compelled to at least mobilize a wonderful group of CWE volunteers who made themselves available to work under the relief efforts of other organizations that were already in place. We supported local churches, and relief organizations in South Florida during that difficult time as well.
We've been privileged to also be of service by coordinating with other disaster relief organizations to help people with their clean-up, as well as tarp dry-ins on their roofs in the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte area of the state. With over 210 volunteers showing up, we were able to effectively help many residences on the days we were at hurricane ground zero locations.
Even though the disaster efforts and clean-up were a huge task to be done, we feel like we were able to at least make that burden a little smaller, and we’re grateful for the privilege of being able to do so. As we "Asked the Question" there was on average one salvation per day, for which we rejoice and praise the Lord!!!
